Big 'is not always best'

Which Car? stated the 4x4 market in the UK has "virtually collapsed".
It said these kind of "gas-guzzling" motors are becoming more socially unacceptable among people who need a vehicle for the school run rather than for off-roading.
The consumer magazine suggested a large family thinking of purchasing a Land Rover Discovery would be better off with something like the Honda FR-V.
It explained buyers would save almost £20,000 on the initial outlay, as well as reducing the amount they spend at the pump.
Editor Richard Headland said: "It pays to think carefully about alternatives to the mainstream choices and if you go for a more fuel-efficient car you can cut costs for years to come."
Female motorists who opt for a smaller vehicle may also find the cost of their car insurance falls as well.
