Car checks 'could help motorists feel better'
Female Skoda drivers who appreciate how distracting hay fever can be behind the wheel may want to get their air conditioning unit cleaned before summer.
According to the manufacturer, systems that have not been used for several months can become contaminated and this can cause problems.
It explained if an air conditioning unit has become infected in this way, motorists may find they experience hay fever-like symptoms when they turn it on.
On top of this, such devices may release an unpleasant smell.
Skoda pointed out its dealerships would be happy to clean air conditioning systems for its customers.
John Bower, head of aftersales with the company, said: "As the manufacturer of happy drivers, we're delighted to be able to offer Skoda drivers a solution which makes their driving experience more comfortable."
