Car servicing 'could prevent an Easter breakdown'
Women drivers who are planning a getaway in their motors over the Easter holiday may want to book a car servicing check-up at a female-friendly garage first.
Motor Codes has claimed it makes sense for vehicle owners to get their autos examined after the winter if they want to avoid ending up stranded by the roadside.
It explained failing to do so could be a false economy - as it is generally much cheaper to take a car in for a service than it is have it taken to a garage for repair after a breakdown.
Director of Motor Codes Chris Mason commented: "While we should all carry out the basic checks before leaving home, I recommend drivers get qualified advice on the roadworthiness of their vehicle before joining the mass of holiday traffic."
By taking their car to a female-friendly garage, women drivers should find they are only charged for work that really needs doing.
