Eco-friendly Focus picks up award
Female drivers looking to be environmentally-friendly on the road could choose to purchase the award-winning Ford Focus.
The vehicle has been awarded the Green Car of the Year prize at this week's first-ever What Car? ceremony at the British International Motor Show.
Some 23 models were beaten on the way to the gong, which the firm picked up at the event's Greener Driving Pavilion.
Also hailed with a special editor's award was the eco-conscious Efficient Dynamics system developed by BMW.
"Fuel prices have certainly focused the consumers mind ... One thing is for sure, the choices available are expanding all the time and it's encouraging to see a clear pattern of change from the manufacturers," Warranty Direct's Duncan McClure Fisher stated.
This was not Ford's only presence at this year's British International Motor Show, as the firm also used the event to showcase its new Focus RS vehicle.
