Female drivers can switch to bikes and save
Foxy female drivers can stay ahead of the pack and save on their motoring costs by switching to a motorbike.
Research conducted by Martin Bamford and commissioned by Bennetts found that over the course of a lifetime, £337,000 can be saved if women motorists switch from a four-wheeled vehicle to a bike.
It could be that they also save when it come to motoring insurance policies and road tax bills if officials see their vehicles as a low-risk unit.
Mark Fells, marketing director for Bennetts, remarked that the cost between running a car and a bike can differ greatly.
He said: "We hope that these findings will encourage people to review their personal transport methods in an effort to lower costs and reduce the hassle of commuting."
This comes after research from the Finance & Leasing Association found that more vehicles are being bought on car finance this year than in 2007.
