Female motorists advised on how to bag a bargain
Women drivers who desperately need to replace their old banger but are feeling the effects of the economic downturn may be able to bag a used car bargain from a private seller.
However, vehicle information group HPI has suggested motorists need to be cautious in order to avoid being ripped off.
It urged buyers to do a bit of research before agreeing a price to make sure they are not shelling out more than necessary.
Male and female motorists were also advised to only meet up with sellers at their home addresses.
In addition to this, it was recommended drivers use a professional mechanic to conduct car checks.
HPI also pointed out people could use its services to ensure the vehicle in question does not have a hidden history.
Meanwhile, the same company recently encouraged used car buyers to be quick if they do not want to miss out on some of the great offers currently available.
