Female motorists urged to be smart
Foxy lady drivers prefer new car dealerships that have signed the female friendly FOXY Promise© to never knowingly overcharge, patronise or sell women motorists' services they don't need.
Women drivers keen to cut their carbon footprint this year are being encouraged to take a look at the latest model in smart's line-up.
The smart cdi goes on sale in the UK in March and the manufacturer claimed it is the perfect vehicle for motorists keen to improve their green credentials and save money.
Cash-strapped female drivers looking to reduce the amount they spend at the pump may be impressed to hear the model is capable of 83.1 mpg.
The manufacturer also pointed out the vehicle offers the lowest CO2 emissions of any current production car, at 88 g/km.
Commenting on the benefits offered by smart cars, Dermot Kelly, managing director at Mercedes-Benz UK, said the manufacturer's "reputation for affordability and economy is growing and the range is being considered by an increasing number of motorists who are seeking to reduce their motoring costs".
Meanwhile, smart owner Nathan Kift recently took his fortwo pulse coupe on a trip from the UK to Venice and back in order to raise thousands of pounds for Gloucester Royal Hospital's Special Care Baby Unit.
