An insurer has released a new car insurance policy specifically tailored for the needs of women drivers.

MORE TH>N is hoping to cut the stress levels of female drivers with the policy after conducting research into what concerns them most while on the road.

Features of the female-friendly motoring insurance include priority roadside assistance and replacement vehicle delivered within two hours of breakdowns.

MORE TH>N product manager Jane Foster said: "In the event of unforeseen circumstances, women want to be back on track as quickly as possible and with minimum disruption - this is what we are proud to deliver."

The company also said the new policy includes £300 worth of handbag cover and child seat replacement following an accident.

Assistance agents will also be kitted with mobile phone locator equipment and on board child entertainment, the firm said.

Last week Click4Gap.co.uk said Gap insurance, which covers the difference between a car's original value and the insurer's payout in the case of a write-off, was becoming more popular among motorists.
