Ford scoops two towcar honours
Women drivers who need to replace their old banger before they go on a caravanning holiday this summer may want to pay a visit to their local Ford dealership.
The manufacturer has received two accolades at the latest Towcar Awards.
Both the Kuga 2.0-litre TDCi Zetec 2WD and the S-MAX 2.2-litre TDCi Titanium took top honours in their respective weight categories.
The judges praised the first model for its excellent overtaking capabilities and the fact it can stop when travelling at a speed of 30 mph in 10.8 metres.
Meanwhile, they said the hushed engine of the S-MAX made for nice, relaxing journeys.
They also pointed out the vehicle offers great stability at high speeds.
Head judge David Motton commented: "It's a great family MPV and now a top towcar too."
