Film actress Kelly Brook has been handed a ticket by authorities after being caught breaking the law behind the wheel.

The foxy lady driver, who recently appeared in Strictly Come Dancing, was booked for using her mobile phone while driving.

She is now liable to face a £60 fine and a three-point licence penalty for the crime - one which even female-friendly car insurance companies may not look kindly upon.

The 28-year-old was punished under legislation introduced by the Department for Transport in February 2007.

According to an onlooker, "the officers didn't treat her differently than anyone else".

"They explained it was against the law and gave her a stern talking-to," the witness told the Daily Mirror.

Another foxy celebrity female driver said to have had trouble steering clear of tickets is Madonna.

According to MSN Cars UK, her vehicles are said to have racked up more than £2,500 in fines since she moved to the UK in 2001.
