Green Mini may tempt female motorists

Environmentally-friendly women drivers looking to buy a new vehicle may be impressed by the award-winning Mini Cooper S.
The model has just been named best hot hatch in the UK by What Car? magazine.
According to the manufacturer, the vehicle's excellent performance, high residual values and low running costs were just some of the qualities which convinced the judges the Mini Cooper S was a worthy winner.
This comes after the magazine named the model the top green sports car last July, in recognition of the group's commitment to developing fast and frugal cars which have minimal impact on the planet.
Earlier this week, the company was named the cleanest car manufacturer of 2008, with average fuel efficiency of 137.24 g/km and typical CO2 emissions of 158.7 g/km.
In other news, the group recently announced it will be unveiling the Mini One Clubman at the Geneva motor show in March.
