Kia offers extended warranty
Kia has announced the launch of an industry-leading seven-year warranty on its European-built cars - which may tempt women drivers who want to cover themselves for car repairs.
According to the manufacturer, all Kia products come with a minimum three-year, unlimited mileage warranty - and it is now offering all future Kia customers either a five-year or a seven-year warranty - depending on where it was built.
Those produced in Korea will have a five-year unlimited mileage warranty, while vehicles from Zilina, Slovakia have a fully transferable seven-year bumper-to-bumper warranty package.
Kevin Todd, Kia's customer support and service development manager, said this further evidence of the firm's "commitment to delivering a first class experience" to its customers.
Long warranties maybe a good idea for female drivers during the economic downturn, because recent research from Warranty Direct has found 53 per cent of drivers have admitted they would struggle to afford the average repair bill of £273.
