Motorists urged to check tyres this Easter
Female motorists who are looking forward to getting away with their families this Easter need to carry out certain checks before taking to the road, it has been claimed.
According to Protyre, drivers should ensure their tyres are pumped up to the correct level, have sufficient tread and are generally in good condition.
In a bid to help keep the nation's road users safe, the company announced it will be offering free examinations over the holiday period.
Retail director Simon Hiorns said: "It's easy to forget to check your tyres with all the distractions of an Easter getaway, but they are critical to the safety of your vehicle."
Motorists who find their front tyres seem to be excessively worn were urged to seek advice from a professional, as it could be their steering alignment needs adjusting.
Women drivers who find this is the case with their car may want to look for female-friendly garages in their area so they can take their vehicle in for a check up somewhere they know they will only be charged for work that really needs doing.
