New car may be smart choice for cash-strapped drivers
Female drivers looking for a car that can save them money at the pump and reduce their carbon footprint may be impressed by a vehicle that recently premiered at the Geneva motor show.
The smart fortwo edition limited three comes as both a coupe and cabrio - and is available to order in the UK now.
According to the manufacturer, the model is ideal for men and women motorists who like to stand out from the crowd, as it comes with a melon green metallic paint finish.
Based on the smart fortwo passion, the car also features six-spoke alloy wheels.
The vehicle offers fuel economy of 70.6 mpg for the cabrio version and 72.4 mpg on the coupe edition.
In terms of CO2 emissions, the models release 105 g/km and 103 g/km respectively.
Numbers will be limited and prices start at £11,900 for the cabrio and £9,950 for the coupe.
Female motorists may also find they can get a good deal on insurance for women drivers, as cars with relatively small engines are generally regarded as posing a lower risk.
