Police launch school run crackdown
Women drivers who have witnessed irresponsible motoring during the school run may welcome an appeal from police in Scotland.
The force in Tayside has urged people to pay more attention to the safety of pupils when behind the wheel.
It launched this campaign after complaints regarding the actions of motorists outside Oakbank Primary School in Perth.
Constable Louise Murray stated: "I have had cause to warn parents about this issue in the past and it seems that in general terms those warnings are going unheeded."
Parents have been sent letters to outline the kind of behaviour that will not be accepted.
Drivers have been reminded not to park on single yellow lines, on pavements or within ten metres of a junction.
Officers warned that motorists breaking the rules of the road could receive a £30 fine or end up being charged by police.
