Revealed: Strangest rental car items left behind
New survey results have shown the strangest items left by drivers in rental cars.
The research from Europcar show that a cooked sausage, a false leg and half a pint of beer with a speed seduction CD are among the weirdest things found by the lease firm.
Female motorists may agree that such items are a far cry from traditional paraphernalia left by motorists including keys, CDs, sunglasses and satellite navigation devices.
According to Catriona Lougher from Europcar, car rental is a practice employed by all sorts of people.
"The size and variety of Europcar's fleet obviously attracts customers from all walks of life, judging by the bizarre objects staff find left in vehicles," said the official.
Earlier this year, Europcar launched a hotline for rental drivers involved in an accident.
The First Call service has been designed so that motorists can streamline claiming car insurance in such an event.
