Stars travel to premiere in green car
Some foxy female drivers made their way to the New York premiere of the Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2 in a hybrid car this week.
According to the Press Association, the premiere was eco-friendly right down to the transportation and the organic menu.
The Cast of the film, including America Ferrera of Ugly Betty and Gossip Girl's Blake Lively, explained that they were trying to be green in real life as well as in the film, potentially by being environmentally-friendly women drivers.
Michael Rady, who plays Kostos in the film, said: "I've become very green, with water conservation, electricity conservation and gas conservation."
In addition, Rebekah Amarini, who plays Lena's mother, commented that she drives a hybrid car.
Last year, the Toyota Prius, a hybrid car that combine a petrol engine with an electric motor, was voted top of a driver satisfaction survey by JD Power and WhatCar?
