'Tardis of vehicles' may be perfect for families
Women drivers looking for a family car may be impressed by a model that has been described as "the Tardis of vehicles".
The new Materia mini MPV from Daihatsu offers plenty of space for passengers to travel in style and comfort, the manufacturer claimed.
It stated the car manages to achieve this feat, despite the fact it is four inches shorter than a Volkswagen Polo.
Daihatsu insisted the car can accommodate a large family perfectly.
The model includes a sliding rear bench seat that allows owners to either make the boot space bigger or increase legroom.
In addition to this, the manufacturer pointed out the auto boasts excellent green credentials with CO2 emissions of 169 g/km and fuel economy of 46.3 mpg.
Paul Hegarty from Daihatsu said: "The Materia is a superbly stylish urban warrior that's equally happy taking the whole family on holiday or nipping about in the city."
Meanwhile, the company has also described its Terios model as a great vehicle for people with kids.
