Volvo may offer relief to hay fever sufferers
Female motorists who suffer from hay fever may want to consider buying a Volvo model when they decide to trade in their current vehicle.
According to the manufacturer, all of its new cars filter out pollen and other allergens before auto occupants breathe them in.
It also pointed out its vehicles feature devices that monitor the cabin air quality.
As soon as the technology detects levels of pollutants such as carbon dioxide are too high, it temporarily closes outside inlets.
The company explained it is determined to do everything it can to alleviate hay fever symptoms in its customers, pointing out runny noses and itchy eyes can distract a driver and compromise their safety.
Peter Rask, managing director of Volvo in Britain, stated: "Millions of people in the UK suffer from hay fever and other allergies, so it makes sense for us to focus attention on improving air quality and minimise any potential safety risk."
Meanwhile, taking cars to female-friendly garages for regular servicing could also help women drivers stay safe on the road.
