Women drivers 'may never be late for work again'
Female motorists who have made it their new year's resolution to get to work on time may want to check out a service from Trafficmaster.
The provider of intelligent driving solutions has launched a product called Route Guard which helps drivers avoid delays.
Users are sent text messages on their mobile phones alerting them to problems on the road.
Trafficmaster pointed out getting stuck in traffic is one of the biggest excuses for arriving late at the office.
However, it stated only one in three people check their routes before setting off.
Tim Owen, head of traffic services with the company, said: "Using the Route Guard service is an effective way to manage your time better and help get you to work and meetings on time."
Interested women drivers will find each text message costs 25p and they can specify the number of alerts they want to receive in a given time period.
Last year, Trafficmaster won three honours at the Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
